The Alpine Lakes Wilderness, in the heart of Washington

Three Peaks Outfitters operates under a special use permit administered by the Cle Elum Ranger District/Wenatchee National Forest. Our permit area in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness includes a mix of trails, from gently sloped valleys to glacier-carved peaks with breathtaking views. The eastern slopes of the mountains are relatively dry (as little as 10 inches annual precipitation) and characterized by striking rock formations. The forests are predominately Douglas Firs, Alpine Firs, Lodgepole Pines and Tamarack, which offers a brilliant display of colors in the fall. You can snack on huckleberries, stop to fish in the area’s many lakes and streams, or even hunt for game in season. Deer, elk, mountain goats, bear and cougars roam the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
